Personal Profile

As an Investment Advisor with CIBC Wood Gundy, I guide the investment activities of individuals, corporations and foundations everyday.  I joined the investment industry in 1989, and, after a couple of decades, I continue to enjoy studying markets and applying the lessons learned in my advisory practice. The advantages of working with an established firm with the size and strength of CIBC Wood Gundy cannot be understated. This truly is a terrific company for investors to entrust their assets to, and a great place for advisors to practice. 

The key to the success of my business is taking the time to understand the individual needs of each client. This helps us to make good investment choices that suit each client's unique situation. My client service model is built around what I would expect if  I were a client myself. My assistant initiates our formal review process while I keep a close eye on our clients' market sensitive positions. Using this approach, I review my clients' portfolios on a regular basis.

As a student of the markets, I enjoy exploring the possibilities of new investment opportunities. Keeping up-to-date on the market is an exciting part of my job. It is also a requirement for my role as host of the Friday Market Monitor. Since 1994, I have hosted weekly radio shows for AM 580 CFRA, airing on Fridays from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Saturdays from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This gives me the opportunity to interview CEOs and research analysts from around the world on a weekly basis. Due to the call-in format of these shows, I am also able to speak with local listeners to find out what they feel are attractive investment opportunities.
