Community InvolvementCIBC is committed to supporting causes that matter to our clients, our employees and our communities. We aim to make a difference in communities through corporate donations, sponsorship and the volunteer spirit of employees. Our Community Investment strategy is focused on the three strategic pillars of Kids, Cures and Community. Our Sponsorship focus is on Cures, Culture, Sport and the celebration of Business excellence. CIBC Run for the CureThe Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, and education and awareness programs. This year we are incredibly proud to mark our 18th anniversary as title sponsor - a milestone that we are incredibly proud of. Since 1997, CIBC employees have raised more than $36 million in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Miracle DayCIBC Miracle Day is an employee-driven fundraiser that started at a Wood Gundy branch in 1984. Since its inception, funds raised on CIBC Miracle Day have benefitted children in communities across the country, through the support of a variety of initiatives, including breakfast programs that provide a healthy start to the school day and recreational programs that build a child's confidence and self-esteem. Today, CIBC Miracle Day is one of Canada's largest one-day corporate fundraising events devoted to children's charities. On the first Wednesday of December each year, participating CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors and CIBC's Capital Markets team donate their fees and commissions to help children's charities across Canada who make miracles happen in our communities every day. Learn more about CIBC Miracle Day The Park Place FoundationThe Park Place Foundation was established in 2003 with the mission to provide funds to charities that promote the welfare and care of the needy and underprivileged, specifically that of children and youth. It is driven and managed by the Investment Advisors of the Park Place Branch. Through the matching program within the Park Place Branch, the foundation encourages employees to incorporate charitable giving as a priority in their lives. |
