What To Expect When Working With Me

My Service Level Commitment:
Below, you'll find a summary of what you can expect from your interaction with me, my team and CIBC Wood Gundy:

• The initial appointment is an information meeting. The main purpose is to meet and get a feel for one another. You are encouraged to ask as many questions as you can, to take advantage of your time with me. You will also be asked to bring all of your financial statements so I can obtain a snapshot of your investment and retirement portfolios. You will be asked to speak about your financial picture, and tell me what you have done, what you are doing now, and what your investment goals are. From this I can determine what you should do with your investment efforts in the future.

• From that initial meeting a written Investment Policy Statement (IPS) will be prepared suggesting a course of action.

• Within one week after you receive this report, a follow up meeting will be held during which the report will be reviewed and individual investment products will be reviewed in detail. Once you agree with the IPS, the plan will be implemented in your portfolio.

• Periodic meetings throughout the year to discuss the performance of your investments, the opportunities that are presented and to re-affirm the initiatives and objectives.

Commitment to Clients:
I am committed to understanding what your concerns are and what you expect from the client relationship up front. I am very aware that my clients are the most important part of my business and I believe that communication is imperative and essential to a successful working relationship.

Contact:
I am in the office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.  In the event of my absence my Investment Advisor Assistant, Risa Sorenson, can be reached directly at (250) 703-5380.

Keeping you Current:
I believe that part of personalized service is keeping my clients up to date about market changes and opportunities. To that end, I will keep you abreast of educational opportunities provided through seminars, luncheons and CIBC corporate initiatives.

Making Miracles In Communities Across Canada

In 1984, a Wood Gundy branch in Toronto came up with an idea that would ultimately change the lives of thousands of children throughout Canada and around the world. Wood Gundy's 42nd Street Branch – located on the 42nd floor of the firm's original head office and named after the famous 42nd Street in New York – was a retail brokerage branch whose community spirit made it unique and far ahead of its time in the Canadian market.

Branch Manager, Tim Miller and the advisors in his branch decided to donate their commissions for one day of business to children's charities. For people who count on commissions for their livelihood, giving them up – even if only for one day – reflected their strong commitment to helping children. The initiative was named Miracle on 42nd Street, and in that first year $192,407 was raised by this branch.

Twenty-eight years later the vision is going strong. On the first Wednesday of December each year, participating CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors and CIBC's wholesale banking sales and trading staff donate their fees and commissions to help more than 400 children's charities across Canada who are making miracles happen in our communities every day. Since inception, more than $55 million has been raised to benefit children across Canada.

A proud tradition that has been replicated, but never duplicated, this year CIBC Miracle Day takes place on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. For more information, please visit www.cibc.com/miracleday.
