We aim to make a difference in communities through corporate donations, sponsorship and the volunteer spirit of employees. Our Community Investment strategy is focused on the three strategic pillars of Kids, Cures and Community. Our Sponsorship focus is on Cures, Culture, Sport and the celebration of Business excellence. CIBC Run for the CureThe Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, and education and awareness programs. This year we are incredibly proud to mark our 18th anniversary as title sponsor - a milestone that we are incredibly proud of. Since 1997, CIBC employees have raised more than $36 million in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. Miracle DayCIBC Miracle Day is an employee-driven fundraiser that started at a Wood Gundy branch in 1984. Every year, on the first Wednesday in December, CIBC's wholesale banking employees and participating CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors donate their fees and commissions to help kids in need. Since its inception, Miracle Day has raised $79.5 million for children's charities across Canada and $223 million globally. |
